Death Valley
We drove there in March 2005 to see the profusion of wild flowers (a 'once-in-a-lifetime' occurance since it had rained over 10" that year - normal rainfall less than 1" per year). What a wonderful experience to see the normally arrid grounds covered by a carpet of flowers!
Wildflowers along the road
Ryholite (near Beatty, NV) - 'Last Supper' Sculptures
Gesa at Badwater (temporarily a lake) - 240 feet below sea level
Golden early morning sunlight
Sand dunes near Stove Pipe
Sand dunes - one has to get up before sunrise to get the best colors and shadows
Green Hillside - a most unusual sight in Death Valley
